1.1. App Usage and Screen Time Data
The primary purpose of Lumen is to help you focus, block distractions, and monitor your screen time. To achieve this, the App requests permission to access Apple's Screen Time API and Family Controls framework.
How it works: With your explicit permission, the App processes data regarding the applications you use, your total screen time, the number of device pickups, and your custom blocking schedules.
Strictly Local Processing: All detailed app usage statistics, blocked app choices, and Screen Time data are processed locally on your device. We do not transmit your Screen Time data to our servers, we do not store it externally, we do not sell it to third parties, and we absolutely never use it for targeted advertising or data brokering.
1.2. Automatically Collected Information
When you interact with the App, we may automatically collect certain non-personally identifiable information to ensure the App's stability and to guide future development:
Device Information: Device model, iOS version, and language settings.
Diagnostic Data: Crash logs, performance metrics, and error reports (for example, via Apple's built-in analytics, if enabled).
App Activity: Aggregated, anonymous data about how you interact with Lumen's own user interface (for example, which features are used most frequently, such as "Quick Block" or "Focus Score").
1.3. Information You Provide Directly
Customer Support: If you contact us via email for support or feedback, we will collect your email address and the contents of your message to assist you and resolve any issues.
Subscription Information (Premium): If you choose to upgrade to Lumen Premium, your payment is processed directly and securely by Apple via the App Store. We do not have access to your full payment details, such as credit card numbers. We only receive an anonymized receipt token to validate your subscription status and unlock Premium features.
2. How We Use Your Information
The information we collect is used strictly for the following purposes:
Providing Core Services: To enable the app-blocking functionalities, calculate your "Focus Score," and manage your custom schedules.
Product Improvement: To analyze crash reports and aggregated usage data to fix bugs and improve the App's performance and design.
Customer Support: To respond to your inquiries and provide technical assistance.
Legal Compliance: To comply with applicable laws, regulations, or legal requests.
Explicit Prohibition: Under no circumstances do we use your Screen Time data, device usage habits, or restricted app lists to build user profiles, track you across other apps, or serve targeted advertisements.

Your sensitive Screen Time data remains securely within the Apple sandbox environment on your physical device.
We retain diagnostic and support data only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this Privacy Policy. If you delete the App, all locally stored Screen Time rules and data are immediately removed from your device.
5. Your Privacy Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction (such as under the GDPR in Europe or the CCPA in California), you may have certain rights regarding your personal data:
Right to Access and Portability: You have the right to request access to the personal data we hold about you.
Right to Deletion: You can request the deletion of your data. (Note: Since Lumen's core data is stored locally, you can achieve this primarily by deleting the App from your iOS device).
Right to Withdraw Consent: You can revoke Lumen's access to the Screen Time API at any time via your device's iOS Settings (Settings > Screen Time). Doing so will disable the App's blocking functionality but will immediately halt any further data processing.

Lumen is a productivity tool and is not intentionally directed at children under the age of 13 (or under 16 in certain jurisdictions). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. 7. Changes to This Privacy Policy
